Jackson Heights Food Crawl

Jackson Heights in Queens is NYC’s heart of Bengali culture, and we explored it through a food crawl.

Known as a cultural hub for South Asians, this vibrant neighborhood is home to some of the best Bengali food you’ll find anywhere in the city. That’s why Banga NextGen decided to organize a food crawl to explore the flavors of this iconic neighborhood—taking a delicious deep dive into the Bengali culinary scene.

Our adventure began with some classic Bengali snacks: shingara and chop at Ittadi. Next we we moved on to fuchka from the famous Fuska House fuchka truck. To take a break between bites we headed over to Haat Bazaar to have some warm cha and some good adda. We continued our journey to Phayul where we indulged in some tasty momos. To end our food crawl on a sweet note, we headed over to Haideri Paan some post-meal mishti paan.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on this delicious adventure! We can’t wait to do it again and continue exploring the diverse and flavorful world of Bengali cuisine. We had the chance to connect with fellow food lovers, share stories, and appreciate the deep cultural roots that are reflected in every dish.
