Our Mission

Banga NextGen's mission is to celebrate, preserve, and promote Bengali heritage within the American diaspora. We strive to build a vibrant community that bridges generations, fosters connections, and inspires a deep appreciation for the richness of Bengali culture. Through social gatherings, educational programs, and cultural showcases, we aim to empower individuals to embrace their roots, share their stories, and contribute to a flourishing legacy for future generations.

Our Board

Konya Badsa President

Our fearless leader, when Konya saw a gap in programs and events for the next generation, she looked ahead to start creating an organization for the future to make sure our Bengali roots would not get lost. Konya works for Aetna in NYC as a Data Analyst.

Disari Bhattacharya Vice President

Disari brings operations management to a whole new level. She works tirelessly with Konya to help implement and manage events to make them successful. She also keeps us organized. Disari is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Data Science from NJIT.

Ishita Kundu Director-at-Large

With a diverse set of skills, Ishita assists with many different operations behind-the-scenes of NextGen including managing PR and outreach and making sure all our programs run on track. She currently works in Talent Aquisition at SoundCloud in NYC.

Shankhadip Chakraborty Treasurer

Shankha worked to cultivate cultural programs through NextGen in a variety of festivals and events. He also makes sure our finances are on track. He is currently working as a Data Analyst at Bank of America.
