Durga Pujo Kids Workshops

This year, Banga NextGen brought fun and education to Durga Pujo celebrations across New York and New Jersey. Our workshops at Kallol, GSCA, ECCA, and Maitree engaged kids with the rich cultural traditions of Durga Pujo, ensuring a great time for everyone involved!

For our Durga Pujo bingo workshops, our goal was to teach children about the significance of Durga Pujo in a way that was not only educational but also exciting and memorable.

During the workshop, kids were introduced to the captivating tale of Durga Pujo—its origins, the triumph of good over evil, and the rituals associated with the festival. Rather than just reading or explaining the story, we used Durga Pujo Bingo as a tool to help kids grasp the narrative in a fun, engaging way. Each bingo card featured characters and events from the story, allowing the children to mark off items as they heard them mentioned in the narrative.

We are so grateful to have been part of these wonderful celebrations at Kallol, GSCA, ECCA, and Maitree. The positive feedback we received from parents and kids alike was truly overwhelming. Parents appreciated how the game made the Durga Pujo story more accessible and exciting for their children, while the kids loved the chance to actively participate in something so meaningful to their culture.
